Motorola Moto 360 Now Up for Pre-Order on Verizon, Costs $250 and Ships Free of Cost

Motorola’s smartwatch-like wearable device, the Moto 360 which apparently received a good response by virtue of which the gadget was sold out in less than three hours upon release in the United States, has now been put up for pre-ordering in the country by Verizon.

Verizon has listed the Moto 360 smartwatch with leather band for pre-order on its official website, and the gadget is priced at $250. It will ship to customers starting 27 October this year.

However, it seems that Verizon had also put up for pre-order a metal band Moto 360 a few hours ago, but as of now the web page seems to have been taken down (apparently due to Moto 360 stocks getting sold out, just like last time).

Also, according to a 9to5 Google report, the metal band-clad Moto 360 will cost $300, when available. So, potential buyers need to save that extra $50 to buy the metal strap smartwatch.

Currently, Verizon is offering free shipping of the leather strap-clad Motorola 360 (priced at $250), and the leather strap of Moto 360 is available in the black colour scheme.

Key technical specifications and features of Moto 360 smartwatch

Motorola’s Moto 360 incorporates a circular outer body design, and has a 1.5in LED touchscreen with a resolution of 320 x 290 pixels, and the entire display is enclosed within the Gorilla Glass 3 protective casing.

Moto 360 also provides health monitoring features; the heart rate monitor and the built-in pedometer. These features allow users to monitor and track steps while walking/jogging.

The Smartwatch is also water-resistant, and is claimed to survive in depths of up to 3.3 feet for 30 minutes. There is also a built-in microphone for users to communicate with the device via voice commands.
